UNION CITY, Ga. — Union City police have charged Diontye Scott with murder.
Investigators say Scott is the behind a deadly shooting that unfolded outside of a Union City Hotel.
It happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Garden Inn along Shannon Parkway.
Authorities say Scott shot and killed Antonio Veal and injured Caitlyn Payne as the two made their way to their hotel room. Payne, 19, was taken to the hospital, where she is now recovering.

Surveillance video, which captured the deadly shooting, also showed the alleged suspect taking off in a red Dodge Charger after the shooting.
Then Wednesday afternoon policed confirmed they arrested Scott without incident.
The motive behind the deadly shooting is still unclear. Scott also faces aggravated assault charges.
