The tree toppled onto a building at the 12th Street West apartments, right next to My Sisters Room between Cresent and West Peachtree.
The tree took out some cable lines, but Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach said the power is still on.
Gehbach doesn’t know if anyone was inside the second floor apartment when the tree came down in the storm that moved through just after 6 a.m.
Another tree fell on 6th and Durant Place in Atlanta.
When Gehlbach arrived on the scene he saw a truck buried underneath the tree.
When the storms first rolled through, Gehlbach was in Severe Weather Chaser 2 capturing a lightning strike along I-20 near I-285 in southwest Atlanta.

The lightning strike likely caused a house fire nearby in Mableton.
The homeowner helped put the fire out before Cobb County firefighters arrived and took over, keeping most of the damage contained.
