COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Two men are now in custody after a carjacking of a UPS driver.
Police told Channel 2 Action News the driver, using a Penske rental truck, was out late delivering holiday packages in a west Cobb neighborhood around 10 p.m. Thursday.
That’s when police said Leonardo King, 23, and Anthony Dwayne Singleton, 23, forced him out of the truck in front of a house on Burnt Hickory Road and took off with it.
Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach was the only reporter on the scene, and he said this isn't the first-time delivery drivers have been targeted.

Channel 2 Action News has reported similar incidents going back last couple months.
Two of the similar incidents involved UPS and one from FedEx in Atlanta. Police said they’re not sure if the incidents are connected.
This time, police quickly spotted the truck at an abandoned carwash, then arrested the two men less than one quarter mile down the road at a CVS on Due West Road in Marietta.
The two men have been charged with hijacking of a motor vehicle.
UPS sent Channel 2 Action News at statement:
UPS drivers receive training on how to be aware of their surroundings and take appropriate action if they believe they are being followed or may be in danger. UPS reinforces this training at morning meetings before drivers begin their routes. These meetings may include “Be On The Lookouts” for suspicious activities.
