ATLANTA — Longtime local broadcaster Jenn Hobby revealed in an emotional social media post that her 10-month-old baby has cancer.
"August 13, 2016.
The day that forever changed our world.
It is the day that Reese and our family started to beat cancer."
Hobby and her husband Grant posted the message Monday morning describing how for months they knew that something wasn't right with their baby Reese.
They went to the doctors where Reese had an MRI of her pelvic region. The scans revealed a large mass.
Reese would immediately be admitted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta where she began treatment in the cancer unit.
Hobby ended the post by saying: "We are going to beat this. Reese is going to be healthy again soon. We are surrounding her with love and light and laughter."
