PHILADELPHIA — Among Georgia’s 126 delegates at the Democratic National Convention this week is an 18-year-old from DeKalb County.
Kendall Austin of Decatur is the youngest member of Georgia’s delegation, and he told Channel 2’s Craig Lucie he’s thrilled to be in Philadelphia for the DNC.%

“I got to experience a historical event, something I will never forget, always remember,” Austin told Lucie Monday. “I've met some great people. All events for us, VIP passes, excited to be a part of it.”
Austin is a Clinton delegate.
Lucie talked with Austin in front of Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and adopted.

He asked Austin since they were in America's birthplace, how do you get the younger generation involved in the election process that was created more than 200 years ago.
“We all have a voice. I urge people to get involved, get started early, soon as you turned 18, get involved with political process,” Austin said.
