CHARLESTON, S.C. — A 90-year-old woman who disappeared from her assisted living facility apparently was killed by an alligator, a coroner said.
Bonnie Walker slipped or fell into a pond near the Brookdale Senior Living Center and was attacked by an alligator, said Rae Wooten, Charleston County coroner.
Walker had multiple sharp and blunt force injuries on her body consistent with an alligator attack, Wooten said.
Her body was found Wednesday. An alligator was removed from the pond Friday.
