A Clayton County family says what began as storm damage has turned into a serious health concern, one they believe could have been avoided.
Fulton County prosecutors are revealing how they secured a guilty verdict in the high-profile RICO case against Atlanta rapper Ca$h Out, whose real name is John-Michael Hakim Gibson.
The rapper's attorneys argued the women involved were not forced.
His legal team told jurors the state failed to provide evidence that he operated a criminal enterprise using his music label to coerce women into prostitution.
“It’s just gross. It’s just hazardous,” she said.
Prosecutors say the transactions help uncover how the rapper, along with his mother and cousin, allegedly operated a sex trafficking enterprise.
Since 2015, there’s been a growing movement to hold businesses accountable when they benefit directly or indirectly from sex trafficking.
