ATLANTA — Atlanta Humane Society’s pet food assistance program is helping pet owners who may be experiencing hardships during the COVID-19 outbreak and are unable to afford food for their pets.
The shelter is providing a two-week supply of food for pets and cats of all ages and sizes. Clients can pick up food once a month.
To comply with social distancing, the shelter is offering drive-by pickups at its locations in West Midtown on Sundays from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and in Alpharetta on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Food bags will be disinfected and staff will wear protective equipment while distributing.
Atlanta Humane Society says appointments are not required, but you are encouraged to make sure your food is ready for pickup when you arrive.
