YouTube personality JoJo Siwa has been a dancer, singer and social media star. She even recently introduced a line of makeup kit for teens with accessories retailer Claire's, according to People.
That kit, which contained eye shadow, two lip glosses and nail polish, has been branded as dangerous by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration because it contains asbestos, the magazine reported.
In a news release Thursday, the FDA said it was recalling Claire's JoJo Siwa Makeup Set, SKU #888711136337, Batch/Lot No. S180109; and Beauty Plus Global Contour Effects Palette 2, Batch No. S1603002/PD-C1179; "because they tested positive for asbestos."
Siwa, 16, who appeared for two seasons on the television reality show "Dance Moms," and runs a YouTube channel, JoJo Siwa Vlogs, that has more than 9.7 million subscribers, has not commented about the recalls, Cosmopolitan reported.
The FDA issued a warning for people to stop using both products immediately. The products have been pulled from retail shelves by Claire's and Beauty Plus, according to the FDA.
In March, the FDA issued a safety alert, warning consumers not to use several Claire's products, according to the agency's news release.
