ATLANTA - The United Way of Greater Atlanta is yet again offering its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, or VITA. The program offers free tax preparation by trained volunteers for anyone with a household income less than $54,000 in 2015.
Nearly 30 sites are open in eight Metro Atlanta counties ready to assist.
The program is a partnership with UWGA and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and is designed for low-to-moderate income individuals to with the goal of building financial stability throughout the community.
Partner sites will be open until April 18th. Hours vary by location.
