American Legion Post 201 in Alpharetta "Founded in 1947, Post 201 occupies 13 acres and exists to serve the country's war veterans," its website notes. "It is home to a memorial that pays tribute to U.S. veterans, family and friends through a walkway of almost 8,000 bricks inscribed with the names of Georgians who served in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. A collection of military equipment adds to this moving experience." (Nelson Hicks)

Odd, unusual attractions at Mercedes Benz Stadium According to PR Newswire, "The monument was exhibited with fanfare across the country with celebrations in San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Carmel, Laguna Beach, Dallas/Fort Worth, Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Central Park at the Plaza in New York City, and the museum Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C, before being permanently installed in the Georgia International Plaza, in Atlanta, for the Olympic Games."
