Slutty Vegan CEO brings new restaurant, ‘bar theater’ to Atlanta

Fans of the popular Slutty Vegan restaurants will soon have some “bar theater” to accompany their “One Night Stand,” “Ménage à Trois” and “Fussy Hussy” burgers.

Slutty Vegan CEO and founder Pinky Cole opens Bar Vegan at Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall this weekend. The full-service restaurant and bar aims to bring a new vegan concept to town.

“Bar Vegan aims to be bold, memorable and experiential, introducing Atlanta to ‘bar theatre,’” a release about the opening stated. “The restaurant will offer a fun, high energy atmosphere with exciting and exotic visual presentations of food and drink. Guests can expect really good vegan bar food –think hearty salads, savory egg rolls, flavorful cauliflower wings, and must-have cheesesteaks, sweet potato tots and more surprises from Cole.”

The restaurant will feature “experience cocktails” that the staff will make tableside.

“The Foreign Fruit Punch will be served in an ‘active smoky volcano,’ and other cocktails may come in a fire extinguisher, gas can, Ferris wheel or bank safe, complete with musical sound bites,” the release added.

The restaurant will serve beer and wine and selections from a “Shaken Not Slurred” mocktail menu, too.

Bar Vegan will feature focal walls and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities.

”Today’s culture is exploring the truth, and the truth that we’re walking into is that, as a community, we are beginning to eat healthier and focus more on the things we put into our bodies,” Cole said. “Bar Vegan’s aim is to create an enjoyable experience for those who want to eat well and enjoy a bit of fun and flare, while still maintaining the vegan lifestyle.”

Bar Vegan opens on Sunday, Feb. 28.
