HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Hall County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating a drowning after a man was found dead at a pond Monday afternoon.

Investigators said Hall County Fire and Rescue responded to Oconee Circle about a possible drowning at 2:30 p.m. When crews got to the scene, they found a man dead.
The man was identified as Jason Smith, 50.

Smith was taken to DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Investigators determined his cause of death was an accidental drowning.
There were no signs of foul play, according to investigators.
They have not released any details leading up to the drowning as the investigation is still ongoing.
