BREMEN, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News is learning more details about 14-year-old Colt Gray who opened fire inside Apalachee High School, killing two students and two teachers.

Apalachee High School student Lyela Sayarath says she saw firsthand school staffers try to locate Colt Gray before something went wrong.
“Nobody knew he was dangerous,” Lyela Sayarath said.
She told Channel 2 school officials came to her class Wednesday morning, but instead of asking for Colt Gray, they pulled fellow classmate Colton Gray from the classroom.
“My friend Colton did not do anything but Colt is the shooter,” Sayarath said.

Sayarath says her friend Colton told her administrators had the wrong student and sent him back to class.
Minutes later Sayarath says she saw Colt at the door, and seconds after a classmate refused to open the door for Colt, Sayarth says she heard a barrage of gunfire.
“You just hear gunshots, it was about 10 to 15 of them,” she said.

Monday the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office released body cam video of deputies questioning Colt, after receiving a tip that Colt made threats to shoot up his school on the gaming app Discord in 2023.
In the video, Colt appeared nervous and swayed back and forth as he denied making threats to investigators.
Investigators found no probable cause to arrest and charged Gray, in the 2023 investigation.
