ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A seven-week-old girl is safe now after she was reportedly kidnapped Thursday in Asheville, police said Thursday night.
Update 8:25 p.m EDT May 9: The kidnapping allegedly happened at Biltmore Park Thursday afternoon.
The girl was later found safe in Henderson County. Police said the vehicle involved, a 2014 Mazda CX5, was also located in Henderson County in western North Carolina.
Shaylie was safely located in Henderson County. The incident is under further investigation at this time. We appreciate the assistance of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the public and the media for assisting us in getting his information out quickly.

The infant, Shaylie, was last seen wearing a pink onesie with horizontal white stripes, Asheville police tweeted.
A woman and Shaylie were kidnapped by a man and woman wearing ski masks, our ABC affiliate WLOS reported.
The mother got away, but Shaylie and the suspects are still unaccounted for, police told WLOS.
The suspects both have a thin build, police said. The woman has black hair, and the man has red hair.
