Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, most businesses have had to pivot the way they operate. For Pettit Creek Farms in Cartersville, Georgia, it was no different.
“My daughter, she got to studying the restrictions and how to comply with it, and see what we could do, and she said, ‘Daddy, I think this will work,’" explained farm owner Scott Allen.
The sprawling 80-acre animal farm is usually filled with visitors getting up close and personal experiences with the animals. But with social distancing in effect, Scott Allen and his daughter decided pivoting to a drive-thru was the only option.
Visitors can still experience all the great animals like horses, kangaroos, camels, goats, pigs and more - but now, from the comfort of their cars.
You’ll have to make a reservation ahead of time and purchase tickets on the Pettit Creek Farm website, which can be found here.
You can also tack on a bag of food to feed the animals, which will be a contactless pickup right when you get to the farm.
It’s a great activity for the whole family to enjoy while still complying with the social distancing rule.
