Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta shows support, paints high-five mural for Emory neighbors

ATLANTA, Ga — During these difficult and uneasy times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re all looking for a little extra support and something to smile about.

And that’s exactly what the employees at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital have done.

Emory Hospital is the neighboring hospital partners across the street who are continuing to fight at the forefront and caring for patients affected by COVID-19. To show their appreciation and support, Employees CHOA hospital created a special painted high-five mural.

The high-five mural is showcased on the inside windows of Egleston, which face Emory’s campus. The mural can be seen from multiple vantage points and is a high-flying symbol of togetherness and unity.

And the support has been mutual. Last week, Emory police, along with first responder partners in the area, showed appreciation for all health care staff - including CHOA - by driving down Clifton Road and flashing their emergency lights.

The show of support and encouragement between CHOA and Emory is a beautiful message.
