Cops: Man Busted With 98 Fake Credit Cards

DECATUR, Ga.,None — Authorities have arrested a 21-year-old Decatur man they said had a cache of phony documents, including almost 100 fake credit cards.

Henry County police got a tip that Issa Diallo was going to use a fake credit card at a Kroger last Wednesday. Police spokesman Jason Bolton said authorities arrested him after he used a homemade American Express credit card to buy a $400 gift card.

Police told Channel 2 Action News reporter Sean Callebs that when they later searched Diallo's vehicle, they found 94 illegally forged credit cards as well as a counterfeit driver's license and some counterfeit money.

Police said even though the credit cards were fake, they had real account numbers on them.

"This is potentially 100 cases of people who would have to go through all sorts of trouble to restore their credit," said Det. Marc McGowan.
