HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Three suspects were indicted after they allegedly sold a 13-year-old girl for sex in Georgia.

The investigation began after a child told authorities she was sold for sex in Warner Robins, Ga.
On Thursday, Attorney General Chris Carr announced the indictments for Emma-Lee Garcia, Noe Borromeo Hernandez, and Brian Smith.
According to officials, Garcia advertised and sold the 13-year-old girl for commercial sex. Garcia is also accused of getting paid cash for selling the child.
Authorities said Noe Borromeo Hernandez and Brian Smith paid to have sex with the 13-year-old. Smith is also accused of soliciting the 13-year-old after the initial encounter.

All three were arrested and their list of charges is as follows:
Emma-Lee Garcia, 24, of Warner Robbins:
- Five counts of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude in violation
Noe Borromeo Hernandez, 42, of Kathleen:
- One count of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude
- One count of statutory rape
- Two counts of child molestation
Brian Smith, 42, of Perry:
- Two counts of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude
- One count of statutory rape
- One count of child molestation
“We’re fighting to combat human trafficking in every corner of our state because protecting Georgia’s children is our top priority,” said Carr. “Whether a buyer or a seller, those who engage in the sexual exploitation of a child will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We won’t rest in our pursuit of justice for survivors, and we will continue to send a strong message that Georgia’s children are not for sale.”
