TIGNALL, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified three victims who were killed at a home near the Georgia-South Carolina border.
Last week, the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI’s assistance to investigate the triple homicide in Tignall, Georgia.
Over the course of the investigation, 56-year-old Shannon Box was identified as their person of interest.

On Friday, Box was arrested after WCSO deputies received a call around 8 a.m. stating Box was seen near Danburg Road in Tignall.
Deputies spotted Box at a church on Jones Chapel Road, where he was subsequently arrested. Box is charged with three counts of murder and three counts of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
He is currently being housed at the Wilkes County Jail.
The three victims have been identified as Chauncey Box, 55, Brenda Lipscomb, 67, and Michael Schmidt; all three victims are from Tignall, officials confirm.

There is an additional victim currently inside of a local hospital, however, officials say they are not releasing the victim’s identity. The investigation is ongoing.
