The jackpot was the second largest in the games history, trailing only a $1.537 jackpot won by someone in South Carolina in October of 2018.
The winning numbers were 4, 26, 42, 50 and 60, with a Mega Ball of 24.

It took 37 draws to get the jackpot up to the $1 billion total which stretches back to September 15th when someone in Wisconsin won a cool $120 million.
Ten tickets matched the five white lottery balls with those winners getting at least $1 million.
None of them were sold in the state of Georgia.
Don’t forget, you can watch the twice weekly Mega Millions drawings right here on Channel 2 every Tuesday and Friday night beginning at 10:59 p.m. ahead of WSB Tonight.
