Do you have this chicken broth at home? Walmart suggests you throw it out

GEORGIA — Do you have a Walmart brand of chicken broth in your pantry at home? Walmart suggests you throw it out if you purchased it late last year.

The grocery chain says the 48-ounce carton of Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth was sold at 242 stores in nine states. The broth’s label says it has a shelf life lasting until March 2026.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said containers with the broth had packaging problems that could lead to the broth spoiling; however, there have been no reported illnesses.

If you purchased the broth in either Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, or Texas, you are encouraged to not consume the broth and are eligible for a full refund.

The grocer said it is working with the supplier to investigate the cause of the issue.
