GA man arrested for after online activity showed sexual exploitation of children

MCDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a man this week on four counts of sexual exploitation of children.

On Wednesday, the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes arrested and charged 42-year-old Harold Ryan of McDuffie County.

Ryan came on the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes radar after receiving numerous CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving possession of child sexual abuse material.

An investigation began and a search warrant was issued at Ryan’s home, where he was later arrested.

The Thomson Police Department aided the GBI CEACC unit in executing the search warrant and Ryan was booked into the McDuffie County Jail.
