HEARD COUNTY, Ga. — The mother of the woman found dead after she was missing for three months isn’t buying investigators initial theory there was no foul play involved

Elaine Gordon says she learned last night that her daughter, 27-year-old Natalie Jones, had been found. She disappeared three months ago.

“I lost it, I really did," she told Channel 2′s Tom Jones. “I started screaming. I started hitting the mattress. I put a hole in the wall.”

Jones, a mother of two, disappeared in July after she attended a party in Alabama. She sent a text to a friend saying she made it home. But she never did.

A landowner clearing brush found Natalie’s body in her car in this wooded area on Roosterville Road Tuesday in Heard County.

Deputies determined the car belonged to Natalie Jones, who disappeared from Heard County.

Jones, a 27-year-old mother of two sons, was last seen just after midnight on July 5 leaving a friend’s lake house in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama, just north of Opelika.

The Heard County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that investigators do not believe there was an accident, and the car was driven to the location where it was found.

“We found no reason for us to believe it was foul play,” Sheriff Ross Henry said.

Jones' mother doesn’t agree. She says her daughter was in a custody battle and others had made threatening comments. She believes she was abducted and also can’t believe the car wasn’t found when search parties looked through the same area.

“I know we had 10 cars out and everyone of them passed that spot where her car was found,” Gordon said.

Gordon says if someone took her daughter’s life she wants them to pay.

“There’s some evil people in this world today. A lot of demons that don’t care."

The Georgia Bureau of investigation has been called in to look into the case and the body is expected to undergo an autopsy for positive identification.
