Snowfall helps deputies capture GA fugitive on the run

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Fresh tracks in the snow was the key to helping put a wanted Georgia fugitive behind bars.

On Sunday, at 8 a.m., deputies in Hamilton County, Tenn. received an anonymous tip about fugitive Brandon Frady at a home near the 2600 block of Banks Road.

According to officials, Frady was wanted in Catoosa County, Ga. for aggravated assault, simple battery, criminal trespass and two counts of cruelty to children.

As deputies checked the home, authorities spotted Frady walking towards East Brainerd Road and Banks Road. When deputies arrived, Frady was gone.

Deputies began establishing a perimeter and got help from the Collegedale Police Department.

Deputies said they followed fresh tracks left in the snow behind the Quick Mart on Brainerd Road across a creek and up a steep ridge until they spotted Frady hiding in the brush behind a fallen tree.

Frady was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center where he was charged with evading arrest.

He will be extradited to Georgia once the new charge is settled.
