In a recent survey just released by Lombardo Homes and a study of Google searches, the Grinch is a more popular decoration than Santa Claus.
1,000 Americans took part in the study, revealing that 44% of Americans plan on decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving, while 29% plan on putting up the garland the week after. 17% percent of households bring out holiday decorations before the turkey is even carved.
On average, individuals will spend three hours on decking the halls and will spend $1,200 on decor within their lifetime.
65% of Americans prefer artificial trees to natural ones.
The top three decorations in the nation were, lights, tree, and the nativity.
Which state was rated having the most holiday decorations? Oklahoma comes in at 21. Neighboring states, Arkansas and Texas made the top 10. Ohio is the number one state with the most holiday decor!
