Hosea Williams: The Untold Story

ATLANTA — As part of celebrating the rich history of the African-American community, Channel 2 highlights a local civil rights pioneer who gave so much to Georgia.

News Anchors Jovita Moore and Justin Farmer reveal the life of Rev. Hosea Williams through the eyes of those who knew him best. Channel 2 takes viewers back to Williams' beginning through rarely seen papers and photographs and the harrowing stories told by his daughters, Elisabeth Omilami and Dr. Barbara Williams Emerson.

Georgia Congressman, John Lewis, Ambassador Andrew Young and many others shed light on the life changing moments that transformed the professional chemist into a prominent civil rights leader.

Bold and outspoken, Hosea Williams took his place on the front lines of the Civil Rights movement as one of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s field generals.

Though he was a major part of King's inner circle, Williams' story and the legacy he left, are rarely mentioned.
