1 dead, 1 injured in Cobb County house fire

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Smyrna fire investigators are working a fatal fire at a Cobb County home.

Earlier Friday morning, investigators confirmed that one person is dead and another was injured in a house fire on Cooper Lake Court overnight.

Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach was LIVE in Cobb County on Channel 2 Action News This Morning.

A neighbor told Gehlbach that the two victims in the house fire were brother and sister; both older people. The neighbor said the sister is the one who died in the fire.

At this time, the cause of the fire has not been confirmed by fire investigators.

Channel 2 is working to gather more details.
