EAST POINT, Ga. — East Point police said a man who was shot at a park by several gunman in a black sedan has died from his injuries.
Police responded to reports of gunshots in the Meadowlark area on Saturday.

The victim was found nearby on Boulder Way with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 29-year-old David Roberts.

Witnesses told police they were in Sykes Park when a black sedan pulled up and several people got out and started shooting at them.

The victims and witnesses ran through the woods and ended up on Boulder Way, where they discovered that one of the victims was shot.
Detectives are working to identify the shooters and determine a motive.
This is the second deadly shooting in East Point over the weekend. On Sunday night, a man was shot and killed at a recording studio on Cleveland Avenue. That victim’s name has not been released.
