How do you claim the winning tickets sold in Monday’s drawing or any other winning ticket in Georgia?
There are different rules for claiming the prizes if you purchased a ticket in-person versus the mobile app. The Georgia Lottery website shows online winners have up to 180 days to claim their ticket. In-person ticket buyers have until 90 days after the expired date listed on the ticket.
The drawing Monday night was delayed. Powerball requires all 48 lotteries that participate to submit their sales and play data prior to the winning numbers being selected, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association statement.
One of the lotteries said it needed extra time to complete security protocols.
