1,000+ RSVP for President Trump boat parades on Georgia lakes

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga — There are some events planned this weekend on Georgia lakes to honor President Donald Trump.

Several thousand people are either planning to take part or watch the boat parades in a salute to the president; one on Allatoona Lake and the other on a lake near Augusta.

According to a Facebook event post, the event on Allatoona Lake is scheduled to begin Saturday afternoon in front of the dam/spillway that leads to Lake Acworth. Participants are urged to fly their American and Trump flags during the parade.

More than 400 people have RSVP’d on Facebook that they’re attending and more than 900 people saying they’re interested.

“Fly those Trump flags and American flags. Anything patriotic!” the post describes.

But that’s just one of two parades planned for the weekend.

“A horn will sound 3 time to let you know the front boats are moving. Please use caution when we start moving and do not swamp the boats around you. We will head towards the Corp Of Engineers parking lot to be photographed and we will disburse,” the event describes.

There have been other similar boat parades across the country over the summer.
