COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Just before midnight Tuesday a 12-year-old boy was shot outside of Main Event Entertainment in Cobb County.
The busy strip mall houses an AMC theater and several restaurants near Cobb Parkway and Cumberland Boulevard.
When police got to the scene they found the child with a gun shot wound to the chest.
Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital and he is expected to survive. The shooter is still on the loose.

Police have not released any details on what led up to the shooting. So far, no one has released a description of the shooter.
Channel 2 reporter Audrey Washington spoke with a representative for Main Event Entertainment. She was told that neither the victim nor the shooter were guests of the establishment.
