MCINTOSH COUNTY, Ga. — Several people are injured after a wrong-way accident on a Georgia interstate.

The accident occurred on I-95 northbound near mile marker 64 just before 3 a.m.
According to WJCL-TV, a Subaru Crosstrek was traveling southbound in a northbound lane when the SUV hit a van carrying 12 passengers, including eight children.
Georgia State Patrol told WJCL that a tractor-trailer traveling northbound crashed and flipped onto the southbound lane.

WJCL reports that one person was taken by an emergency medical helicopter, and the other passengers were transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
The Subaru driver is hospitalized and facing several charges, WJCL states.
