ATLANTA — Two boys have died and a third boy was injured in a triple shooting overnight Tuesday. One of the victims would have celebrated his 14th birthday today.
The shooting happened off Dimmock Street and Peeples Street in southwest Atlanta just after 12:30 a.m. Police on the scene told Channel 2 Action News that three people were shot.

Officers told Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach that a 13-year-old died at the scene. The Fulton Medical Examiner’s Officer identified him as Lamon Freeman.
The victim’s aunt said Freeman was suppose to celebrate his 14th birthday on Tuesday.
Paramedics rushed a 11-year-old and 13-year-old to the hospital. The 13-year-old died at the hospital and the 11-year-old is listed as stable.
The Fulton Medical Examiner’s Office identified the second victim who died as Jakody Davis.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting or what a possible motive may be. No description of the suspect is available at this time.
