SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old who was shot and killed in Union City on Sunday evening.
Officers responding to the shooting in the area of Highpoint Road and Stonewall Drive found the victim unresponsive just before 7:30 p.m., according to Union City police.
He was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office as Dominique Holt. His address was unknown.
Police responded to a shots fired call and arrived to find a wounded Holt in the street.
Officers say he was walking from the nearby Shell station when someone fired multiple times, hitting him. Police believe it may have been targeted.
Neighbors say he was a sweet young man who didn't bother anyone.

Neighbor Bernice Francis says the gun violence has to stop.
"Stop the killing. Stop everything. Y’all people need to get together, come together and love one another. Stop killing people,” Francis said.
Police don't have a motive right now. They're asking anyone with information to give them a call. They say they've seen an increase of violent crime in the area recently.
"When you decide to pull a weapon in Union City, we are going to find you," said Jerome Turner with the Union City Police Department.
