CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are investigating what started a fire that left a family without a home Sunday morning.
Clayton County fire officials tell Channel 2 Action News that a one-story house on Pineglen Lane, just south of Forest Park, caught fire Sunday morning.
The homeowners told Channel 2’s Justin Gray they were all asleep when the fire started. All six family members made it out of the house safely.
Two of them were treated for very minor injuries.
We’re talking to authorities as they investigate the cause of the fire for updates on Channel 2 Action News.
Fire officials say the home is a total loss.
The Red Cross has been called, due to the number of people needing to be relocated.
Good news here, I just spoke to the homeowners who tell me nobody was really hurt - those 2 injuries very very minor. But sadly their home is a total loss https://t.co/pQTYrwo0tT
