COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — College Park police are investigating a road rage shooting that killed two men on a metro Atlanta interstate.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night on Interstate 285 off the Riverdale Road exit ramp. Police said two men in a white BMW were shot and crashed into two other cars.
“In my rearview, I could see a car coming up really fast,” victim Amari Franklin said.

The driver of the BMW died at the scene and the passenger was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died. The victims have not been identified.
The people inside the other cars had non-life-threatening injuries. Police said a fourth car involved possibly belongs to the shooter. There is no description available as of Wednesday morning.

Tuesday’s incident is the latest in a string of interstate shootings across metro Atlanta. There have been at least 14 different interstate shootings in 2021 alone. Most of them have occurred along Interstate 20.
