MACON, Ga. — Police are searching for two masked men who burst into a Waffle House, robbed the store and shot an employee.
The robbery happened Friday around 1:30 a.m. at the restaurant off Arkwright Road in Macon.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said two men wearing masks entered through the Waffle House’s back door, firing shots.
One of the shots hit a 20-year-old employee in the stomach.

Deputies said one of the men fired a shot at another employee and demanded the register’s money.
The two men exited through the back door with an unknown amount of money. Surveillance cameras captured photos of the suspects as they left.
The employee who was shot is stable and recovering at a hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.
