DEKLAB COUNTY, Ga. — Two men were killed Thursday morning after police said they were trying to cross the street.

DeKalb County dispatch told Channel 2 Action News that police closed I-85 southbound near Chamblee Tucker Road around 11 p.m. to conduct an investigation.
Police said two men were attempting to cross the interstate when they were both hit cars.
Authorities confirmed both men were killed and that the drivers that hit them remained on the scene.

The roadway has since been reopened.
The identities of the men have not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
