SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — No one took home the big jackpot in Monday night’s Powerball, but someone in Georgia woke up with a $2 million winning ticket.
Georgia Lottery’s website shows that one person matched four of the five numbers and Powerball number with a 2x Power Play. Monday’s winning numbers were 5, 8, 9, 17 and 41 with a Powerball of 21.

What’s the lucky store that sold it? On Channel 2 Action News at Noon, Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen took you live inside the H&R groceries off Macon Road in Spalding County where the $2 million ticket was sold.
The $2 million winners have not come forward yet and they don’t have to reveal themselves. Winners of a prize that’s more than $250,000 can remain anonymous, according to the Georgia Lottery.

Georgia Lottery also confirmed that $50,000 tickets were purchased at the following locations.
- Texaco Food Mart, 1299 N Cherokee Rd, Social Circle
- Dallas Chevron, 5115 Dallas Hwy, Powder Springs

The next drawing for the Powerball will be on Wednesday at 11 p.m. which you can watch LIVE on Channel 2 before WSB Tonight at 11 p.m.
But if you want to try your luck, the Mega Millions jackpot is also up for grabs Tuesday night. No one won Friday night’s drawing, which rolled the jackpot to $640 million.
