Cobb County police said they have arrested two people in connection with a shooting at Cumberland Mall Saturday.

Police said the shooting happened just after 1 p.m. after an argument. The 18-year-old victim was shot in the neck/shoulder area.

The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Zaire Dhanoolal, of Marietta, and 19-year-old Joweer Ponce, also of Marietta.

Police said they identified two victims, one of them being someone that surveillance showed the suspects point the gun at before shooting the other victim.

Dhanoolal was charged with two counts of aggravated assault. Ponce was charged with reckless conduct and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Both suspects were taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

Police said they are still investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
