MACON, Ga. — Georgia deputies are searching for a 20-year-old who may have drowned in a river on Sunday evening.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded around 5:30 p.m. to the Frank Amerson Park on the Ocmulgee River.
The sheriff’s office said a group of friends were out on the river when one of them disappeared.

Witnesses said they saw their friend Raymund Ellison Jr. on a inner tube behind them. When they looked away and back, Ellison vanished.
His friends said they never saw him go into the water.
Dive teams are out at the river to locate Ellison. As of Monday morning, there’s no update on the search and recovery efforts.
