POLK COUNTY, Ga. — A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Cedartown, according to Georgia State Patrol.
Troopers say on Sunday, Dec. 26, the man was walking southbound on the east shoulder of Ga. 1 going towards Cedartown.

A car traveling northbound drove off the shoulder and hit him. The driver then took off. The man died at the scene.
During the investigation, troopers identified the victim as Sharad Robinson, 28. Family had reported him missing out of Floyd County since Dec. 18.

Troopers say they believe the crash occurred on Dec. 18, where Robinson’s body had been since then.
Robinson’s family was notified and were able to identify him with the Polk County coroner. Officials arrested Chasmine Lowe, 24, in connection to the crash.
Robinson’s family has created a GoFundme to help with burial expenses.
The investigation is ongoing.
