ATLANTA — “We’ve dodged a bullet” - that’s how our Severe Weather Team 2 is describing the overnight and Thursday morning weather.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said we didn’t see severe weather because a “wedge” helped keep the atmosphere stable.
While we didn’t see any severe storms, thunderstorms dumped rain in parts of north Georgia, sparking some localized flooding.
One person sent us photo of flooding at North Avenue and Argonne Street in northeast Atlanta.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Strong winds are possible this afternoon and with already saturated ground, trees could fall
- Wind Advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. for most north Georgia
