DALTON, Ga. — Three teenage girls were killed and two other people were injured in a crash in Dalton Friday.
Georgia State Patrol said the accident happened on Georgia Highway 2 at Haig Mill Lake Road Friday night around 9 p.m.

Investigators said Kierra Clay, 18; Kathryn Beasley, 19; and Bethany Rose Pizarro, 17, all died in the accident. Beasley was driving.
Investigators said Beasley collided head-on with a Dodge Ram when the car left its southbound lane and crossed over the median. Beasley’s car spun out and was hit by another car.

The drivers of the two other cars sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Beasley was the mother of two children, a 3-year-old son and a 1-year-old son, according to a GoFundMe set up to help the family.

Clay would have turned 19 two days after the accident. Pizarro would have turned 18 later this month. Her family has also set up a GoFundMe.
It’s unclear if the driver of the Dodge Ram is facing any charges. The names of the people injured were not released.
