ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 85 northbound in Midtown Friday morning.
Atlanta police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that three people died in the crash at the Buford Highway connector.
The circumstances of what led up to the accident are unknown at this time. Atlanta’s crash investigation unit is on the scene now.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. Police reopened all lanes three hours later around 7:15 a.m.
Delays remain. Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields says alternate routes include Buford Spring Connector or exit Northside Drive to 14th Street to Piedmont to get back along I-85.
