CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed two men at a Clayton County hotel Sunday afternoon.
The shooting happened at the Southside Inn on Old Dixie Highway.
“We want to get these individuals off the street,” Officer Stefan Schindler, with the Clayton County Police Department, said.
Police told Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes one victim died at the scene and the other victim died later at a nearby hospital.
“I heard the bop, bop, bop,” a witness told Fernandes, asking not to be identified. “You could feel it.”

Witnesses told police they saw a few men were arguing intensely before the shooting.
“I was in my room and I heard some shots go off,” the witness said.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
“Right now we're actively looking for one shooter that we know of,” Schindler said.
Police said the shooter killed 2 men at the motel, both were shot multiple times.
“One individual was found in a breezeway, the other individual was found in the parking lot area,” Schindler said.
Fernandes saw motel maintenance cleaning the area where police found the victim in the breezeway.
Police said the victim was dead at the scene. The other victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Police aren't releasing the names of the victims yet, but Fernandes saw one victim's brother cleaning out his motel room.
Fernandes also spoke to the motel owner, who said all of his customers are like family, including the two dead victims.
He said this kind of violence doesn't normally take place at his motel and he's confident police will catch the killer.
