ATLANTA — Police say two people were shot and a third person was injured when the set of a music video turned into a real-life shootout Sunday afternoon.

A source told Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach that the music video was for rappers 42 Dugg and Roddy Ricch. Neither of the artists was hurt.

Officers responded to shots fired at a scrap yard on Wells Street in southwest Atlanta around 4 p.m. When they got there, they found a man grazed by a round of gunfire. EMS later determined Peter Cook, 39, was hurt by debris and not a gunshot.

Antoine Blake, 25, and Vernon Moulder, 29, were shot during the same incident and took themselves to Grady Memorial Hospital. Atlanta police said both men are stable.

The music video area is the site of what appears to be a steel yard and at least one film trailer was parked there.

A witness told Gehlbach there was suddenly a lot of gunshots shots that quickly scattered about 50 people on the set.

“Everyone started running, trying to get out. Or take cover, lot of places to take cover in there,” Teresa Lakes said.

Lakes was on the set as a medic to take temperatures and screen anyone who entered for COVID-19. She didn’t think she would be treating anyone for gunshots.

“Anyone that was injured, I laid hands on ‘em to make sure they were OK,” she said. “Just glad it wasn’t a lot worse then it could have been…could have been worse.”

Gehlbach said one man was put into the back of a police car. Police said officers detained and arrested 40-year-old man on a drug charge, but he is not considered the shooting suspect.

Investigators are still working to gather information on the suspects involved in the shooting.
