The lucky 300,000th person to receive the vaccine was a 15-year-old student from North Atlanta High School. He received a plaque to mark the occasion.

A total of 300,452 vaccines were given out since Mercedes-Benz Stadium opened as a mass vaccination center in March.

The center is operated by Fulton County and the State of Georgia and supported by FEMA.

Many people who received their vaccine at the center praised it for being efficient.

“Once I got in the line everything moved through really nicely. Very organized, everyone very friendly in there. Just top rated,” said resident Kari McCormic.
