Five people are dead and two others critically injured following a head-on crash involving a car and a MARTA bus in Atlanta.
The accident happened on Bolton Road just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Atlanta police said two children, ages 4 and 19 months old, were killed in the crash along with a 18-year-old teenager and 22-year-old passengers.
The 32-year-old driver and a 12-year-old passenger were taken to Grady Memorial hospital in critical condition.
Shauntia Floyd told Channel 2′s Tom Jones she is stunned her 22-year-old daughter, Kareema Floyd, is gone.
“She is a very sweet person, she loves her kids,” Floyd said.
She says police came to the door at about two o’clock Thursday morning and woke the family up.
“25 years on the PD, this is the worst accident that I have come across,” Atlanta police Captain F. Turner said.
Henry Trice told Jones his daughter, Lashondra Murray, her kids and a friend were on the way home.
“I said ‘I’ll see y’all in the morning.' Five minutes later I got a phone call,” Trice said. One of his grandchildren died. His daughter and another grandchild survived.

Police said the driver of a Nissan Sentra crossed the center line and collided with the bus. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
The MARTA bus driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The police department said the passengers on the MARTA bus are OK.
A second car crashed after the bus collision. Atlanta police said the two people in that car were not injured.
